Following three successful years in St Albans, OVO’s smash-hit, critically acclaimed production of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic returns by popular demand for a fourth season, this time at Hitchin’s British Schools Museum.
Taking audiences on a promenade journey inside and out the museum’s Victorian atmospheric spaces, this is a truly unique festive experience that immerses audiences in the spirit of Christmas past, present and yet to come.
This magical 60 minute performance is guaranteed to delight, amuse and move both children and adults alike, and send you home filled to the brim with festive cheer – not to mention our ever popular mulled wine, luxury hot chocolate and seasonal snacks.
“The museum already feels like stepping into Dickens’ world, with its Victorian classrooms and creaking floorboards. You can almost imagine Scrooge himself appearing at the door. The story of A Christmas Carol is all about compassion, generosity and community, which are exactly the values that underpin what we do here. When OVO brings the story to life in this historic setting, I think audiences will feel completely transported. It promises to be something magical and a wonderful way to experience Christmas in Hitchin.” Emma Calver, Manager, British Schools Museum
“A magical, mood-filled, vibrant adaptation breathing new life into an old tale.” ★★★★★ Fairy Powered Productions
“It just keeps getting better and better … a brilliantly fun new adaptation.” St Albans Times
