Richard III

18th-21st July 2024
Presented by Kernow Chamber Players
By William Shakespeare
With original music by Harriet Bushman
Directed by Tama Matheson
Location The Roman Theatre
Tickets £15.50 – £29.50

Richard III is among the most performed of all of Shakespeare’s works, telling the politically charged story of Richard’s climb to power using violence, threats, seduction and his manipulative charm.

Harriet Bushman has composed vocal and orchestral music to match Shakespeare’s text, elevating these familiar words to new heights of tension and drama.  The cast of actor-singers will speak, sing, and chant Shakespeare’s immortal story.

Directed by international actor-director Tama Matheson, founder of the Brisbane Shakespeare Festival, this production will feature live performance of Harriet Bushman’s accompanying score by the Kernow Chamber Players.
