Best Theatre Arts present a dramatic double bill of shows celebrating the skills and talents of young local actors. Two of Best’s drama and acting groups will each perform an exciting and innovative play.

Best School of Acting Act 2 group perform their devised piece ‘D-Day’.  Combining physical theatre, melodrama and the techniques of Grotowski they take us on a journey to 1940’s London, where the emotional stakes are high and events are explosive.

Best Youth Theatre present Carl Grose’s play ‘Gargantua’.  ‘Gargantua’ is an absurd comedy which takes viewers on a rather crazy and illogical journey, which ultimately results in reflection on human connections and what people will do for those they love or what they believe in.  After a two year gestation giant baby Hugh is born, but what will happen to him and the entire world?

Best Theatre Arts have been creatively supporting young people and their families for over 25 years.  The award-winning theatre school have a range of classes for all ages and abilities so no matter how you and your artistic interests change and grow, they can continue to be there for the journey.   You can read all about their classes, ethos, teachers and productions on their website.
