The Merry Wives of Windsor

The Merry Wives of Windsor

31st May – 28th July 2024
Presented by OVO
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Adam Nichols
Location The Roman Theatre
Tickets £12.50 – £29.50

OVO’s riotous adaptation of what is often seen as the world’s first situation comedy returns to the Roman Theatre by popular demand, after a sellout run in 2020.  Shakespeare meets Spinal Tap as this classic class comedy gets the full OVO treatment with a live 80s soundtrack, tight trousers and big hair.

A summer music festival. A bunch of 80s rockers on the comeback trail. And an ageing lothario who is about to get his comeuppance.

OVO’s house band will turn the volume up to 11 with an irresistible gig theatre party that will have you dancing on the ceiling, in the street, with somebody – but definitely not by yourself!

Featuring the hits of * Poison * Cyndi Lauper * ZZ Top * Huey Lewis and the News * Michael Jackson * Elton John * Bonnie Tyler * Heart * and many more
